Microencapsulation
Spray dry
From a liquid product to a powder through the atomization and drying process.
Spray drying microencapsulation is the process through which a liquid product characterized by a high solids content is atomized in a hot gas stream to
obtain a powder instantly. In itself, it is a form of drying but used appropriately, it can be exploited to
encapsulate hydrophilic and hydrophobic active compounds within different carriers, avoiding thermal degradation of the active ingredient.
